The Lone Star State

Getting there wasn't too shabby. The girls always adore the ICC bus! SO glad that we packed some toys in the girls' backpacks...they were happy in the terminal and on the plane. The day after we arrived, we had some surprise guests come to Fort Worth. We were able to spend a good day and a half with Bill and Jeff, to show them some Texas love! Waffle House was their first request. The Fort Worth Stockyards are a must for visit to FW! We made sure to go in the afternoon so we could see the longhorns walk down the street. It was awesome!
Hillary, Jeff, and I got thrown into jail ;)
And we even found some more animals to see. We love going to the stockyards!
Swimming was a big part of our vacation. Thank you Aunt Hillary for letting us crash your pool!
One highlight of the trip was Build-a-Bear. Lizzie and Cate were in absolute heaven.
We drove to Sulphur Springs to meet up with Grandma Killion. She spoiled the girls with some Lalaloopsy dolls--they were so happy!
We also met up with our good friends, the Stapley family! Temple, TX is our go-to place. The kids played very well together and the girls just adored Megan. I wish we could spend more than a few hours with them!
The families together! Complete with a band-aid on Lizzie's face. We've come a long way from our RA days :)
This is one of my favorites--The moms with our Vera Bradley baby bags!
Thanks for another fun day, Stapley's! Can't wait until next summer! John treated us to Chuck E Cheese. More heaven for Lizzie and Cate. Lizzie loved playing the games while Cate preferred riding the rides.
Chris's family threw a birthday party for Cate. Cate was a happy little lady. She loved every second of the attention!
As always, we had a fabulous stay in Texas. I can't ever find enough good things to say about the place. We loved spending time with the Texas Killion's. I hope we can return soon. Once a year is not enough!

The 2012 Graduate

Not sure why the margins are messed up? Anyways, We drove to New Jersey during the last week of May to witness the third Jett graduate from Wildwood Catholic. We always grab a section in the balcony so we can have a great view! Being in St. Ann's (well, it's known as Notre Dame de la Mer now) always beings back memories... Katie sang the National Anthem with her friends Hannah and Trevor to begin the commencement, and she sang the WC alma mater with Hannah towards the end. As always, she was fabulous! They all did a wonderful job. Chris had to take Cate outside eventually...little Red Riding Hood (as my mom calls her) doesn't sit still. Ever. So, thank you Husband for allowing me to see the entire graduation! Lizzie's favorite part of the night: when all the graduates toss their caps into the air in front of the church. It's tradition! Some family pictures...missed you, Bill! Lizzie was very excited to give Aunt Katie a big hug. Our aunt, uncle, and cousins came to support Katie, as well as Elder and Sister Ross from the branch. We invited our friends and family back to the house for cake, Springer's ice cream, A&LP hoagies, and some fun times! And we laughed late into the night, taking lots of pictures and being crazy! By the end of the night, we were TIRED! Katie, congratulations on a successful four years at Wildwood Catholic! Your presence will be missed in the hallways, I am sure. I am so proud of you and all that you have accomplished. And I look forward to hearing about your upcoming adventures, when you head west to BYU in August! :) Love you!
