That is currently Lizzie's favorite word. If it's dark outside, it's "spooky." If we walk under some shade from a tree, we are in a "spooky" dark forest. If it looks weird, it's very "spooky." Spooky is appropriate for the times because of Halloween!
Lizzie had her first dance class last week.
It's a "Mommy and Me" dance class, so technically I had my first dance class too!
(First one in...fifteen years or so. Yikes!)
Lizzie was in total heaven; we had a fabulous time! Our friends Bethel and Sophie are in it too--we're so happy to be in class with them! The girls loved the big mirror.
We had a Halloween Party at our house on Friday night--Heit's, Turman's, Killion's. haha I love Justin's face in this picture!
Lots of good food and sweet treats, BYU football game, World Series game, crafts, you name it we had it! The kids even got to practice trick-or-treating, which they loved! They especially loved the tutu on Lois's head!
Despite SNOW on Saturday, (it did not damper little girls' spirits, that's for sure)
our ward trunk-or-treat made it through unscathed. It just got moved inside :)
After going through the church halls to make one big circle, many of us gathered in the gym to eat some candy. The girls were so happy with their full pumpkins.
When actual Halloween rolled around, on Monday night, Cate and I were sick. Sore throats, coughing, runny/stuffy noses, the whole nine yards. We were in no condition to be out and about so Chris was kind enough to stay home from school so he could take Lizzie out with the Heit's and Turman's. They had a wonderful time!
Cate wanted to show you her pumpkin too!
Dad with Lizzie
All the kids, minus Cate!
It was a successful night for sure!
Happy Anniversary to my parents! They celebrated their 25th anniversary on November 1st. This is one of my favorite pictures of them, from our wedding nearly four and a half years ago.
See you next week!

Look how adorable you all are! It's amazing how many Halloween activities kids have the week before! So even though you were sick on the actual night, at least you got to do some partying :)
